Service Options and Collection

Pittsburg Disposal is pleased to offer residents the following three, weekly service options, which all include recycling and yard waste collection with your standard residential solid waste (“garbage”) collection service.

Residents have a choice of three levels of service, all of which include commingled recycling and yard waste collection. These levels vary according to the size of solid waste (“garbage”) container desired: 32-gallon, 64-gallon, or 96-gallon. All containers have easily movable wheels, which makes the curbside set-out process convenient for our customers.

Below is a list of prices for the 3 different size containers. Also included in your service are the following:  

1. Two (2) On Call Pick-ups: For your convenience, Pittsburg Disposal customers, with regular paid garbage service, may call Pittsburg Disposal and schedule TWO- free of charge pick-ups per year. *This is in place of your Spring & Fall pick up. Pittsburg Disposal will collect up to 12 bags or 12 boxes of garbage or yard debris, not weighing more than 50 lbs per bag, on your regularly scheduled pick-up day. Please call Pittsburg Disposal to schedule your extra pick-ups. *Pick-ups must be at least one week apart.

2. Curbside Battery Pick-up: Customer must call in for battery pick-up. Please place battery in a plastic bag or closed container with a label that says "Batteries" and place it next to your brown garbage container.  ONLY HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES. Please, NO Automobile Batteries.

3. Curbside Cell Phone Pick-up: Customer must call in for cell phone pick-up. Please place cell phone(s) in a plastic bag or closed container with a label that says "Cell Phones" and place it next to your brown garbage container. 

4. Curbside Fluorescent Light Pick-Up: Customer must call in for fluorescent light pick-up. Lights are only picked up on Tuesdays. Please place fluorescent lights in a plastic bag with a label that says "Lights" and place it next to your brown garbage container.

5. Curbside Oil Pick-Up: Customer must call in for Oil pick-up. Please call Pittsburg Disposal Service at (925) 432-6262 to request a free 6-quart oil container. Pittsburg Disposal will mail it to you. Once it is full, call Pittsburg Disposal & they will pick it up.

Handy Hauler

 

New Service: Handy Hauler

Approximately 72" W x 77" L x 70" H
Covered bin for three days only. We will drop off on either Tuesday or Friday, for your convenience to keep over the weekend. The fee for this 6-yard bin is $198.00 per container pull, and any additional empties are $125 per container.

Approximately 7' W x 15' L x 5' H
Homeowners may keep the box for two days, not including the drop-off or pickup day. Pittsburg Disposal Service will deliver your material to the Recycling Center & Transfer Station in Pittsburg, where it will be sorted and recycled. We can also provide recycling receipts upon request. Please call for prices.

 

Two (2) On-Call Clean ups.

For your convenience, Pittsburg residents, with regular paying garbage service, can call Pittsburg Disposal to schedule Two (2) Free-of-Charge On-Call Clean-ups. *This is in place of your Spring & Fall Clean Up. Pittsburg Disposal will collect up to 12 bags or boxes of garbage or yard waste, not weighing more than 50 lbs per bags, on your regularly scheduled pick up day. Clean Up days must be at least one week apart. Please contact Pittsburg Disposal Service at (925) 432-6262 to schedule your extra clean ups.

This does not include furniture, household hazardous waste, or appliances.
