Holiday Schedule:

Christmas & New Years Day both fall on Sunday this year so there will be no interruption of your garbage or recycling service.  If you have a Christmas tree, Pittsburg Disposal will pick it up for free. Please place your tree at the curb, on your pick-up day and we will pick it up. If your tree is 5 ft. or larger, please cut it in half. Additionally, if you would like, you can bring your tree to the Recycling Center & Transfer Station, in PIttsburg. Christmas trees will be taken at no charge & must be free of tinsel, flocking and the tree stand. Limit 1 tree per vehicle. Extra Services!

To better serve our customers, Pittsburg Disposal Service is now offering New CURBSIDE Pickups for Oil, Batteries, Cell Phones & Fluorescents Lights. In addition, instead of a scheduled Spring & Fall Clean Up, Pittsburg Disposal is now offering 2 On-Call Clean Ups. Now you can call for a pick up when it is convenient for you! Please follow the instructions below:

Customers must call in for these services…

Curbside Household Battery & Cell Phone Pick up:

Please place items in a plastic container or plastic bag and label it with the item. For example, if you put household batteries in a plastic bag, please label it “Batteries”. Then place the item(s) next to your toter, on your regularly scheduled pick up day. Then call Pittsburg Disposal at (925) 432-6262 to schedule a pick up.

*Please place the batteries and cell phones in different containers/bags.

Curbside Fluorescent Lights Pickup:

Please place the fluorescent light(s) in a plastic container or plastic bag and label it as “Fluorescent lights”. Then place the item next to your toter and call Pittsburg Disposal at (925) 432-6262.

*Pick up day for fluorescent lights are on Tuesday.

Curbside Oil Pick Up:

Please call Pittsburg Disposal Service to order your free oil container. Pittsburg Disposal will mail you the container. When the container is full, please call Pittsburg Disposal to have the old container picked up and a new one replaced.

*Pick up day for oil is on Tuesday

2-On Call Pickups:

For your convenience, Pittsburg Disposal customers with regular paid garbage service, may call Pittsburg Disposal to scheduleTWO free-of charge pick-ups per year. This is in place of your Spring & Fall Clean ups. Pittsburg Disposal will collect up to 12 bags or 12 boxes of garbage or yard debris not weighing more than 50 pounds each- on your regularly scheduled pick up day. The pickups must be at least one week apart. Please call Pittsburg Disposal Service to schedule your extra pickups at (925) 432-6262.

Paint & Paint Related Products:Latex Paint, Oil-based Paint, Stains, Varnishes, Glazes, Waxes, Wood Oils, Paint Thinner, Epoxy Resins and Wall Paper Product.

Personal Care Products:Hair Care Products,Lotions Cosmetics, Nail Polish Remover, Perfumes & Colognes

Misc. Products: Fluorescent bulbs, Propane Tanks, Cooking Oil, Household Batteries.
